The privacy industry runs on promises you can't check. We'd rather be the one tool you can.
Why we exist
Tor is the best privacy technology most people will never use — because configuring it yourself is intimidating. PrivateHub is the friendly on-ramp: one click, and your everyday browsing routes through the same decentralized network that journalists, researchers, and privacy-conscious people have trusted for two decades.
We didn't build another VPN. We built a usability layer on top of something better.
Why we don't sell you "no logs"
Every VPN says "no logs." They've also, repeatedly, been caught keeping them. "No logs" has become a marketing reflex that asks one thing of you: trust us.
We don't want your trust. We want your verification. Two things make that possible, and no VPN can match either:
- 1. Tor's architecture. Three independent relays mean no single party — including us — can tie your destination to your identity. That's cryptography, not a pinky promise.
- 2. The transparency dashboard. You log in and see every record we hold. There are no browsing or destination logs to show — because there are none. The little session metadata we do keep is right there for you to check.

Your money goes back into Tor
PrivateHub depends on the Tor network — free, decentralized, and run by thousands of volunteers worldwide. It would be easy to extract value from it and give nothing back. We chose the opposite.
Our pricing is deliberately minimal: enough to cover infrastructure, and — importantly — to reinvest into deploying our own Tor relays. As we grow, paid usage goes toward adding capacity to the network you rely on. It's a contribute-back model, not an extraction model.
What PrivateHub is not
To be clear about our intent: PrivateHub is a consumer privacy product, in the same spirit as the Tor Browser, with a simpler on-ramp.
- It is not designed or marketed as a tool to evade law enforcement.
- It is not a vehicle for illegal content.
